Fire Tenders
Custom built water trailers designed to transport water to the scene of a fire where there is no piped water available.
Specifications:
Chassis:
- Heavy duty, robust frame with 14” Wheels suitable for on-road and off-road use
- Recessed truck lights are used
- Un braked axle of at least 1300 kg capacity and an 50mm ball couple are fitted
- heavy-duty jockey wheel is provided.
- Unit built as per SANS specifications and can be registered for public use
- Optional: Tractor coupler can be fitted
Tank:
- 500 L roto moulded polyethylene tank
- 250 mm lid is provided for easy refill
- Red in colour and is UV stabilized
- Is ‘food graded’ and is suitable for the transportation water for human and / or animal consumption.
- 5m x 40mm suction hose and strainer will be supplied for refilling of the tank
Nozzles:
- 1 x 25m x 20mm hose on a manual reel and adjustable forestry nozzle
Pump:
- 10 bar, twin stage, centrifugal pump, coupled to a 5,5 HP Honda engine.
- 65mm Instantaneous F/male coupling will be fitted to pump for lay flat hose operation
